motherboard died after less than 4 years on my ROG

Just got the verdict from the service center for my ROG machine...the motherboard had died after only 3 years and 9 months. price for repair 1500 swiss francs and i got it for 1900. Well can't say i am thrilled and definitely won't recommend ASUS to anybody. I have several other laptops, one is 13 years old and the worst was hdd failure and the CMOS battery dying after 8 or 9 years.

So if anybody is looking for opinions i would say stay away from ASUS brand, not worth it, not reliable, i'd even recommend Acer, something i never thought would happen. But still have one lying around and working despite the years 😄

I am off to find my new gaming laptop and that would not be ASUS for sure!!!!!!!!

I bought a Lenovo legion - it’s *light years ahead in performance, support, warranty and all else. ASUS does not exist for me as a brand anymore!

And I repaired myself the motherboard of the ROG, simple chip replacement worked, so anus can get to hell with their 1500CHF repair quote!
