Low FPS, G750JX with GeForce GTX 765m

Hi!

I'm new here and I recently got myself a new computer. The Asus G750JX with the GeForce GTX 765m.

I was playing some World of Warcraft for the first time in ages. And in raids and such, the FPS is at 13-16 on low settings.
I don't know really what to expect, this is maybe normal for this kind of computer. But I feel that it should be a bit higher. I've had some trouble with Nvidia drivers that won't install.

Anyone else with this GPU that could tell me what kind of games you can play on what settings, and so on?

Asus G750JX does not come with GeForce GTX 765m, but it comes with GeForce GTX 770M. where did you buy this laptop with GeForce GTX 765m? I guess your laptop is ASUS G750JW.
however GeForce GTX 765m and GeForce GTX 770M can play World of Warcraft from medium to High or Ultra setting without problem.

try to update NVidia Graphic driver and if your laptop has 3D display, then you should check the latest Nvidia driver from Asus Support website, because many users are having trouble installing NVidia drivers on G750JX with 3D Display if downloaded from NVidia site

if your laptop has no 3D Display, then you can check the latest NVidia driver from NVidia website...

Thanks for the reply. You're right, I have the G750JW I mixed it up.

I'll try downloading the graphic driver from Asus Support site.

Thanks!

I did two things. I installed the driver from Asus Support site. Also, I realized that my computer was on "Power Save" instead of "Performance" on the Power4Gear Hybrid thingy you access through fn+space.

I cannot even describe the difference. ALL games went up at least 40 FPS!

Nice work figuring it out. Yeah you need to make sure you're not running battery only and have the power plan on saving mode.. or the graphics card will be trying to "ration" itself.
