Low Audio on G74SX? Here's the fix

Chastity

Open up the THX TruStudio app and set it to "External Speakers". When on "Built-In Speakers", it's filtering the audio improperly, and losing a lot of the audio playback.

Just a FYI, comparing the G74SX to the G73SW, the audio is fuller sounding. Seeing how the audio plate is wider, I suspect they put in larger drivers. 🙂

Nice, but isnt it smarter to keep it at "built in speakers"
If you want them to last longer?
Have had some several other products that had their speakers destroyed
for playing music to high.

I fount the G73's 2.1 speaker to be louder than he G74's speakers...

If the G74 had THX set to "Built-In Speakers" then yes that would be true. Tab it over to "External Speakers" and then you will hear how they are supposed to be heard, and I find the G74 sounding better.

I haven't figured out a workaround for that yet. 🙂

Do you get a vibration noise in the chassis though? Sort of like a buzzing noise?

Ill take back what I said hehe. It's clearly worth it.
Tried it out with some different styles of music(rock, hardstyle) and so on.
And the difference is just amazing. Sounds alot better with the speakers set to "external"

Question about the THX TruStudio oem...

would the pro version make the G74 sound any better ?
