Lost with my G702VMK laptop type/serie information, cannot find info, drivers, etc.

Hello,

I've bough an Asus ROG G702VMK-GC284T and I'm a little confused because I cannot find information for my product:

* I don't find the support page for this product (looking for drivers). As you can see in the attachment I cannot select anything after the "G702 serie" information
* I also don't find any information in the forum :confused:

Did I miss something and/or I don't know how to search?

Welcome to the forums and apologize this couldn't be easier!

I'm located in the U.S. and not very familiar with the G702VM/G702VMK series either, so you may want to check with your local ASUS support too in case there is anything I'm unaware of or wrong about.

Anyway, if you go into your bios and hit 'F12' it should show your bios model at the bottom of the page to give you a better idea if there is a related model.
You can also start the bios or Windows bios flash utility to see your bios model and version and just cancel or exit the bios flash afterwards.

If you check with your local ASUS support and tell them your serial number, they can hopefully check the model of your motherboard as well.

Have some ideas about your unit and can help you check more if you prefer, but don't want to provide any incorrect information, so thought you may want to check with your local ASUS support instead since they should be more familiar with it.

During business hours you can also go online to Asus support and use the CHAT utility. They might be able to give a link directly in the CHAT that sends you to the support page. I couldn't find it either.

Je vois que vous etes francais.

etes-vous sur que votre PC portable ne soit pas un GL702 ? car c'est le seul modele que je connais qui a un suffixe -VM/VMK.

I see that you are French.

Are you sure than your laptop is not a GL702? because it's the only model I know that has a -VM/VMK suffixe.

It's no worry.

I speak French fluently as I lived there for over 10 years. Most people make the effort to speak English here, so I make an effort to speak in their mother tongue ^^
(I can also speak decent Spanish and German 🙂 )

...I'm sure it's a G702VMK-GC284T as written in the Amazon description and as printed under the laptop.

I've looked on the french forum, there are some (not useful) topics about the G702VM but not G702VMK

Well since Asus does make laptops with a French keyboard (or so I've read), I wonder if your model laptop is a product that is only sold in the French market, or via the French market. All online searches for that model number do bring up French websites coincidentally. Yeah customer service is your best bet.

Search the internet for a program called HWINFO64 and run it, it will tell you about the laptop and show all it's specs and model name etc.
