Now keep in mind some drivers are from asus own website the reason for that is that i think they are more safe to use then the latest:D Also if a mod could sticky this it would be great as most users like to have the latest drivers and dont like to look around for it as sometimes it can be a pain.

There's a strong chance that Realtek's drivers (from the ASUS Support Pages) cause the following issue. Just a warning.

Any brave soul who has working sound from all speakers and would like to test "Realtek Audio Driver: Version V6.0.1.7335" to see if it is the cause, please, please do so. (Assuming you can restore afterwards.)

Thank you very much in advance.

is there a problem with the realtek audio driver from the official download page? if so do you recommend anyother driver so i can change it

We don't 100% know if it's the driver that causes the issue, but many of us have had the issue, and many of those who have had the issue downloaded the driver.

The only way we'll know for sure is if someone with working speakers uninstalls their current audio drivers and installs the drivers from the realtek audio driver from the official driver page.

Also, no, I can't recommend any because none of the ones I've tried have worked.

im getting mine tommo good that i have 30 day money back. so i can just send it back and get my money back if its not working

oh and i read all the 9 pages and what i found out is that most the JT have the sound problem

Boaz Beatz, thanks for the effort putting this all together 🙂

If you are getting a brand new release G751JY tomorrow, I would run with the stock drivers for a while, maybe a week or more, to get to know the laptop and discover any hardware problems from the stock configuration before introducing a bunch of changes.

You shouldn't need to make any changes out of the box to get things to work right.

It gets confusing when you introduce a lot of driver updates to the mix - too many changes confuse the issue. Are the problems from the laptop hardware, the original OS / drivers, or all the drivers you have installed on your own?

I think some of the problem with sound out the Subwoofer vs L/R/Subwoofer might be due to updating drivers too quickly - and not taking the time to get to know the configuration of the elements involved.

Find out what you can do with the stock configuration before doing a bunch of updates that might confuse the issue. Especially when noone has a working fix/solution yet.

I don't recommend going off-site from Asus because you won't get support for those drivers from Asus. And, there is no need to go outside Asus, you can find the latest drivers all there.

Going to a third party non-OEM non-Asus site is the last site to recommend - you don't know where it came from. Station Drivers is a long known site, but still it isn't necessary to get back channel released drivers to support an Asus Laptop. Special circumstances happen, but I haven't had a functional reason to go to third party sites for a long time.

What do you mean Intel INF version 10 is "BUGGED"? Buggy as in faulty, or bugged as in reports back to someone your data? 🙂

Please post a link supporting this, I have been running the 10.0.13 on my G750JH for a while now, and everything is working aok.

The link I post lets you choose all recent versions of the Intel INF chipset driver, including the one immediately before 10.x, version 9.2.0.1030, which is probably new enough for the Haswell series.

Thanks again Boaz Beatz!

But, a couple of things.

First, you don't even have your G751JY yet, so why do you think these are the correct specific driver versions to recommend? Have you tried them already on a G751JY?

Second, we don't recommend going off-site from Asus because you won't get support for those drivers from Asus. And, there is no need to go outside Asus, you can find the latest drivers all there.

When I post a list of places to find the latest drivers, from Asus, it doesn't take that long for each person to go there and look up the dozen or so links that they need to find to download what they need for their specific model, and it gets them involved in what they need to look for on their own - there is no need to spoon feed the very intelligent people that purchase ROG laptops. Plus who has all the laptops on hand to figure out what goes where... Asus 🙂

The links to search change much less frequently, but the driver download versions change often enough that a list of exact downloads for the drivers will be out of date withing hours, days, or a week or two at most. Are you going to keep up that list if it is made a sticky? Do you see any such sticky lists in any other forums? Over time people change their interests and those exact links go bad and need to be removed.

You can certainly do and post anything you think is helpful, I am only trying to do the same. 🙂

Maybe post the links after you find out what is on the G751 when you get it, and test the suggestions you have before posting them?

I will edit/remove this post after you get familiar with your new G751JY and update your post.

Another consideration is language. When you post a specific link download, it is for the language you use, but there are many different languages represented here, It would take many specific link recommendations to represent all the varied peoples represented here. If you provide the support area download links, each person can be in their own support region and find and download the driver specific to their region and language.

Thanks again Boaz Beatz!

well on my other computers when i install version 10 and above it only installs 1 or 4 in device manager but when i use the 9x series it installs for all and i have googled it and many other people have the same problem the reason why im adding this list it because your driver list on your site dont have the latest drivers. oh and this is the way i always update my drivers and i have had no problems so far and i know many other people who do the same, just trying to help here. also i cant find the link to support it as it was some time ago that i was reading about it, but i did try to install some of the 10x versions and all of them do the same installs for around 4 or 2 stuff in the device manager but when i run the 9x versions it installs for all of the stuff under system in device manager. also if you sticky it i will update it when ever I my self see a new driver and i like to have the latest ones. What i do for my desktop pc is i google my motherboard asus p8p67 deluxe and i find a forum that has a thread with all the latest drivers for that specific motherboard and download it from there as i find it more simple. This is just what i like to do and i wanted to share my way of doing it.

Boaz Beatz, I thought you had a good reason, it makes sense, maybe it will be different with the mobile chipset on the G751JY motherboard?

I look forward to your updates Boaz Beatz.

I was just adding these paragraphs to the top to clear up the main issue I had in my head, but it needed time to come out:

If you are getting a brand new release G751JY tomorrow, I would run with the stock drivers for a while, maybe a week or more, to get to know the laptop and discover any hardware problems from the stock configuration before introducing a bunch of changes. Find out what you can do with the stock configuration before doing a bunch of updates that might confuse the issue. Especially when noone has a working fix/solution yet. There may be no fix until a new driver release comes out, and it would be a waste of time to patch forward and then wonder if your original drivers were working - I have seen some requesting the original Realtek driver version number installed out of the box.

There are lots of new things to learn on the G751JY, but updating all the drivers en masse as soon as you get it would be like swapping in a new SSD, HDD, wireless card, etc before making sure the original hardware is stable - you wouldn't want to have to reverse all the upgrades after you found out there was a hardware issue that required returning to the seller / RMA to Asus.

Best to burn in and test the original package as a whole before making changes. 🙂

I look forward to your updates Boaz Beatz.

i will try to update to version 10x some weeks after i have had a try with the laptop and see if it works, but i will continue to update this thread anyway as it is the latest drivers and some people want that just wanted it out here as when i buy a computer and i go the the official forum and i cant find the latest driver i just get angry/sad ;D
