Lack of driver updates. (As always)

I'm starting to getting a bit annoyed, we're still lacking driverupdates for GPU for at least the G750JX .
It would be nice to see Asus issue some statement, should we give up hoping for a new set of drivers? I mean, considering the new Key DirectX optimizations in the official drivers from Nvidia, it feels like you should actually get the thumbs out your behinds and update
yours.
I know you CAN use the Nvidia released ones, but since ASUS recommends using their drivers, and you pretty much get the "Install our drivers" answer everytime you have an driver-related issue.
So, will we see any new drivers? Or should I just put my laptop in the bin and buy a desktop PC the next time?!

So I should'nt use use the one from http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_ROG_G750JX/HelpDesk_Download/ ?
That's kinda retarded by ASUS not having the latest one under the specific system support.

It is the way it is with Asus, has been for as long as I can remember, Asus doesn't backfill drivers, you have to hunt them down in the central locations like VGA, and in new product download areas.

For VGA drivers, once the laptop has been out for a few months, you can download them directly from Nvidia. The JX has been able to use the direct downloads from Nvidia for quite a while. The new 337.88 WHQL driver from Nvidia has Watch Dogs performance improvements, and works great on all the G750's

Here is a direct link to the VGA area, so you don't need to to go through all the results to find the right one 🙂

And, a few more to frequent for updates.

G750 support areas - The JM download area has the latest of all the G750, with JS/JZ next:

r3tr-x, sorry to hear that, it sounds like your Graphics card is having problems. The only thing you can try before RMA'ing to Asus - or returning to the seller if you are still in the return Window, is to do a Clean install of the software.

I would first try a Custom/Clean Install of the Nvidia driver - either the latest one from Asus or the latest 337.88 from Nvidia.

If that doesn't work, as a last ditch effort - back up all your stuff to an external disk, and do a recovery restore - either from an F9 at power on or create an Asus Backtracker backup onto a 16GB flash drive and boot / recover from that.

The error you are seeing is caused by the Nvidia driver crashing and restarting, usually seen while overclocking - but also caused by bad GPU hardware when it happens at stock speeds.

If the software fixes don't work, then you can file a Technical Inquiry with Asus stating the problem and what you tried to fix it, and ask for an RMA. Or return for another laptop if you are within the return period with the seller.

You can register a login here, register the laptop, and file the Technical Inquiry here:
