rajhesh my laptop gets 3.5-4 hours of normal (aka non gaming) use. You can run the screen at 60,100,110,120 hz and even other intermediate values if you use other tools.
Delta I did three almost complete battery rundowns while working around the house last week and I can assure you I was getting 2.5 hours battery tops. The CPU wasn't being used by any program other than my browser and the pdf reader. I switched to 60hz yesterday and this morning the battery was at 30% after almost 3 hours of use.

I was getting barely 2 hours out of my G750JX before realizing that twice the refresh rate is a major battery life killer, even when simply browsing the web. Just FYI.

yeah my friend has the asus N56VZ with the 650M and he's having MASSIVE FPS issues with the Witcher 2, which I played on a 5830M... he's constantly juggling between drivers that make optimus happy and drivers that improve the discrete GPU performance...
btw, here are my screen specs. I am experimenting with 96Hz for movies because some people suggested that using a multiple of the 24 fps they are shot at makes for smoother viewing.
