Even works when I connect via Ethernet. It's not that the laptop won't find the connection. Rather, it connects with limited connectivity most of the time.
Is it a router issue? Is my card just stupid?
Also, like I said, it does work other places with wifi without a hitch.
I'm pulling my hair out, here!

It works with an Ethernet connection, so it's not your ISP or modem. It works with other WiFi access points, so it's not the Atheros card, but it fails to hold a connection with your router. So your troubleshooting is pointing at your router as the likely cause.
You DO want to run a recent Atheros WiFi driver version (no earlier than 10.0.0.75, preferably later) but you should concentrate on your router to resolve your connection problem.
Make sure you've disabled allowing the laptop's power management to turn off the Wireless Network Adapter to save power in the "Advanced" tab of the Atheros Wireless Network Adapter Properties in Device Manager. This setting has been known to affect connection reliability and speed.
Perhaps a 2.4 GHz cordless phone is causing interference. Experiment with router channel selection. Try channel 1 or 11 for starters, but don't fail to test with the others if they don't improve the connection.
Configure the router to use WPA2-Personal Security with AES Encryption. Then go to "Manage Wireless Connections" on your laptop and delete the Wireless Network and recreate it by reconnecting to the router.
How good is the wireless signal strength in your home?
If you get it workin', post a pic of yourself (with bald spots) sitting next to your laptop...

yes, i think you should try to disable the power management on wifi by the laptop first.
