Issues with G75 wireless connection

I'm new to the forum portion of this, but I've had my G75vw since late October. So, going on three months.
I've had a few issues with it; nothing too terrible until the laptop won't work wirelessly with my router. It works other places just fine.
Even works when I connect via Ethernet. It's not that the laptop won't find the connection. Rather, it connects with limited connectivity most of the time.
I get about five minutes total where it actually works for some reason, and then it just drops. I've tried a lot of things that I've heard might help, and nothing does. I've:
Updated the atheros drivers twice
Restarted computer
Disabled and re-enabled the atheros card
Restarted the router
Run cmd and ipconfig/release/renew
Disconnected and reconnected to wireless multiple times, which works for about one Internet page
I've pretty much given up at this point. I have no idea what to do anymore. I noticed a lot of threads about this wireless card not connectin to the Internet, but nothing about sudden limited connectivity. Is it a router issue? Is my card just stupid?
Also, like I said, it does work other places with wifi without a hitch.
I'm running Windows 7, and have the version from Best Buy with 8gigs of RAM and 1 terabyte hard drive. No modifications yet, and barely any other programs installed. I did install drivers for a Logitech h800 Bluetooth headset, but it didn't stop working until about a week after that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm pulling my hair out, here!

It works with an Ethernet connection, so it's not your ISP or modem. It works with other WiFi access points, so it's not the Atheros card, but it fails to hold a connection with your router. So your troubleshooting is pointing at your router as the likely cause.

You DO want to run a recent Atheros WiFi driver version (no earlier than 10.0.0.75, preferably later) but you should concentrate on your router to resolve your connection problem.

Make sure you've disabled allowing the laptop's power management to turn off the Wireless Network Adapter to save power in the "Advanced" tab of the Atheros Wireless Network Adapter Properties in Device Manager. This setting has been known to affect connection reliability and speed. However, this does not appear to affect your wireless connection to other routers, so it's likely NOT to be your problem.

Perhaps a 2.4 GHz cordless phone or a neighbor's router is causing interference. Experiment with router channel selection. Try channel 1 or 11 for starters, but don't fail to test with the others if they don't improve the connection.

Configure the router to use WPA2-Personal Security with AES Encryption. Then go to "Manage Wireless Connections" on your laptop and delete the Wireless Network and recreate it by reconnecting to the router.

How good is the wireless signal strength on your laptop in your home?

Do you have other wireless devices that connect to your router? Can your friends connect their phones or laptops to your router without connection issues?

If you get it workin', post a pic of yourself (with bald spots) sitting next to your laptop...

LOL!

yes, i think you should try to disable the power management on wifi by the laptop first.

yup, just like rewben said, try to disable it first.

yep, disable Wifi connect, and try again, i think when you enable both, it will always find the wifi connecter first.

You might want to check you bandwidth setting on the 2.4 radio and make sure it is set to auto or 20. If is it set only to connect at 40, the Best Buy unit is limited to 20 mhz.
