Issue with G750 JX Touch-pad RIGHT Button

Hello Community,

I am using G750-JX and when ever I play games Touch-pad RIGHT button doesn't work, and if it works then (for example> Crysis 3 - when I Zoom with Touch-pad Right button, then touch-pad left button fails to work ..!!

Is this a HW problem or just some setting as everything works fine while I am not playing any games.

Please advise.

Regards
Kumar 🙂

Wondering if the right touchpad button by itself ever gives you problems when you are not playing games too, but you might want to get the hardware checked for this later if it's not too hard to catch the problem with just the right touchpad button by itself.
You should also be able to right-click using the key next to your right CTRL key, but it's related to where your 'keyboard cursor' is located (hit 'tab' and arrow keys to find it?) rather than your mouse pointer location if this helps with anything.

If you are trying to use the left touchpad button while holding the right touchpad button at the same time though, I remember some others have reported similar issues on the G750 and earlier models before and had a couple ideas below which may not be too helpful.

1. Sorry, I don't play as many FPS games as I should and expect there are reasons you cannot do this, but if you can release the right touchpad button before pressing the left touchpad button, this may work to get the left touchpad button working?

2. If you don't care about any of the touchpad extra functions like vertical or horizontal scrolling with the touchpad, try installing a generic Windows mouse driver for the touchpad and it should still function as a basic left and right click mouse and may allow you to hold the right touchpad button while left-clicking at the same time.

3. Don't remember if anybody had success with this, but you might also look around for non-ASUS approved touchpad drivers although it's probably a good idea to back-up and be prepared for the worst in case anything goes terribly wrong (I'm a bit of a worrier).
