just a quick question, is the G501 windows 10 ready? are we gonna retain the ASUS bloatware if we upgrade to windows 10? and to the ones who own it. do you get updates for the GPU gtx960m?

is it okay to force update it? since microsoft realeased the MediaCreative to install windows 10 if you can't wait.

Yes, that's what I did. Just remember to write down your Windows product ID (in case the installer asks it) and backing up your personal files never hurts even though if you choose an option where the Win10 installers keeps them 😉
Good luck!

Guys, does anyone else have any experiences regarding Win10 upgrade for G501JW? I'm kinda having second thoughts on upgrading due to the large amounts of complaints online.

the only complaint for me its the intel HD Driver, still very buggy and make yout system have a slow performance. other than that none whatsoever.

Thanks for the response. When you upgraded, did you have to reinstall the ATK and touchpad drivers? How bout nVidia drivers?
