As rog is my bread and butter for video editing and motion graphics, is it possible to put the IPS from 751 into 750jw?
Mikkrutel, we haven't heard of anyone swapping screens from the G751 to a G750. We haven't seen the make/model of the IPS screen i the G751 one yet either, so we can't check if it is available as a part on the open market. We also haven't seen a specific enough tear-down of the G751 to see the wiring / socket to see if it is different or compatible. It's way to early yet to say...
Do you have a specific problem with your current screen? Which one is it, the Chi Mei or the AUO?
Have you tried using an ICC Profile to correct the color, or made a custom resolution with a high refresh - like 85hz to 100hz for the Chi Mei or 70hz for the AUO?
Here is a link to a how to using the Asus Splendid raw ICC profiles (don't install Splendid!) taken from the C:\eSupport and downloaded Splendid package unpacked for the ICC profiles specific to your laptop/screen.
ICC for AUO219D <== could be used for any screen supported by Splendid

Personal Color Profile for the Chi Mei 173HGE
http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?36153-Personal-Color-Profile-for-the-Chi-Mei-173HGE&p=29809...I have used both methods, and it helped the screen quite a bit
🙂Maybe someone with a G751 can use hwinfo64 to look at the Monitor section to give us the make/model info for the IPS screen?

And, if you are going to pull apart your G751 to do a repaste, please take a couple of photo's of the monitor cable / socket
🙂
