Is it possible to customize G751???

I can't seem to find a good customizer for this laptop. I see NewEgg one with 4710HQ, GTX 980M, 256GB SATA RAID + 1TB HDD, whooping 24GB RAM, and Windows 8.1 - all for $2280. Yet, when I try to customize through XOTIC or similar places, I end up with a much higher price for lower specs. Ultimately, I want 4710HQ with GTX 980M, 16GB RAM, no SSD's, no HDD's, no OS, and an DVD-RW optical drive... That should cost less than $2280 because NewEgg lists much better specs for that price, but everywhere I look it costs more if I select those lower specs... I know that places like XOTIC allow for taking HDD's and SSD's out of the spec, but the price is still higher for some reason. NewEgg shows a discount... is that the reason? Is anyone aware of any good sales on this laptop with specs very similar to the ones I listed ?

Also, can parts like GTX 980M be upgraded later in 2-3 years in this laptop??

You can only upgrade the RAM or HDD/SSD. I believe the GeForce is soldered to the motherboard on ASUS laptops so no.

no gpu cannot be upgraded
I bought mine there , hidevolution may be the same as xotic price wise , hidevolution has a online chat service every day. my g751 was 300$ less at new egg after I bought it from hidevolution I bought the top of the line G751-Jy-DH72X with upgrades
like pokerface said u can upgrade Ram , HDD your self and save $
