Key point of note, GentechPC is an aftermarket retailer, who can upgrade the systems with better components. I would not be surprised if they are upgrading to the 780M. I also noticed that they misspelled the CPU designation ("4700MQ" should be "4700QM"). Still, I'm glad to see someone offering said upgrade. Maybe ASUS will get the hint...:o
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

We now have 178 people whose systems will not break! Yippee! 🙂

Well, as you can see on the Asus official website for the new upcoming ROG series http://www.asus.com/Search/?SearchKey=g750, there's no G750 with GTX780 (at least for now). Of course it is possible that they might release a G750 with the coveted by all GTX780 in the coming months so we just have to wait and see.

You guys are talking nonsense. Asus will release 3 SKU's of G750 - one with GTX 765m for $1.300 , one with 770m for $1.899 and 780m for $2.499. That's already confirmed. No video card upgrades are possible with resellers , you won't be able to lower the base SKU's price either. So, there.

And I'm with you on that. I do want 780m , but for $2.000 tops. I don't need dumb 24gb of RAM or 2 SSD in m SATA...

What I'm wondering is if it will be possible to whack one of these Asus spec 780M cards into a g75 at a later date.

I don't think so.. The chassis is different and I thought this laptop had a removable PCI-E or something for the video card.
