I have a 530 series SSD in my G73jh which has a problem. The drive is not detected on restarts, but is always found on power ups. Intel has been checking this problem out, since a lot of people have been complaining about this problem with their new SSD series
here So Intel is saying that system BIOS does not recognize a newer ATA command:
We have successfully recreated the issue. The cause appears to be that some BIOS implementations do not support a newer ATA feature called “Device Initiated Power Management (DIPM) for Software Setting Preservation (SSP)”. Intel® has recently added this feature to the firmware for newer SSD models.
I have the latest BIOS #213. Doesn't that BIOS have the ATA feature included? I don't find a setting in the BIOS screens. Do newer laptops have that ATA feature?
