Intel HM65 Chipset+ SATA III?

Hello again! I was just rummaging through the internet trying to find out which SSD is the fastest one I could put in a G73SW, but I wasn't sure if it was SATA III compatible. I just ran across something that said the Intel HM65 chipsets DO on fact support SATA III. Does this work on the G series laptops or has it been disabled like some other things?

I'm most likely going to get an OCZ Vertex 3 SSD if the laptop is SATA III compatible, but I saw that there are some drives that might beat it in SATA II mode so I would just like to know for sure.

Yes, the G73sw has 2 SATA 3 ports on the HDD bays.

I am using G74SX and running vertex 3... With 2.11 firmware.
Not very stable, but it works.
Remember to use correct SATA port when you are installing SSD. Otherwise it might not work well.

I would avoid the Vertex 3, since I've seen lots of complaints for it. (There's a reason it's on sale a lot.)

I have just purchased the U24E (HM65 core I3 2350M), this should support sata III.... Have tries the OCZ Vertex 3 90Gb but BIOS does not see it. SSD ran fine on 2 other laptops so I do not believe it to be a drive problem. I have read in other posts that the original bios did not support sata III. would my assumptions that the BIOS is to blame be accurate?
