Inconsistent NVMe SSD performance

Hi all. I wanted to post my results from my OEM Toshiba drive. Oddly, I'm not getting the same throughput I use to. When I very first got the laptop, I ran CrystalDiskMark and got about 750 MB/s. I was disappointed in an NVMe drive, but still happy with the system over all. After a day or two of clean up and installs, I tried again and was getting in the area of 1200 MB/s. Not bad, right? It stayed like that for a while as I ran it a few times just to be sure. So the other day I thought I'd run it again and take some screenshots and share them. But I'm back down to the ~750 MB/s area. Any thoughts? In this time span, I know that I got the Win 10 Anniversary update. I made no specific changes to the laptop.

I spent some time this weekend with trial and error, and I think it's almost 100% related to putting the laptop to sleep. It didn't happen everything I put it to sleep, but it was consistent enough that I think it's the problem.

I don't have any way to back this up, but my suspicion is that I'm only getting half the lanes (or less) when I resume from sleep. After a reboot, my CrystalDiskMark numbers are back up to around 2500 MB/s. I don't really see any drivers that can help with this, so I guess from now on I'll just have to shutdown at night.
