Hey Holy, welcome to the ROG Forum.
Firstly I have a 3D Model, but I suppose it's down to personal tastes, I mean I've only really used mine off and on, played abit of Crysis 2 and StrarCraft 2 in 3D, but mostly I use the 3D more with Blu-ray movies than I do with games, so far anyway. The 3D does add a little bit more to games, I mean Crysis 2 in 3D on Ultra with DX11 is truely a site to behold, but it comes down to what you want, if your a movie buff like me then I would recommend 3D without a doubt (make sure you get Cyberlink's PowerDVD 11 as the supplied CinePlayer is rubbish) as for games, does add a little something and least you can turn it off. My opinion go for the 3D model as gives you the best of both worlds. You may decide to occasionally use the 3D but least you know it's there if you want it. It's just a gimmick, the novelty wears off after awhile, esp if you keep getting headaches and the glasses are uncomfortable if you wear glasses yourself, but when you watch a decent 3D movie, you can't help but say WOW and first time I saw Crysis 2 in 3D (being my first 3D game I owned, I was like holy ****). lol.
