I need HELP on G73JH. Installed win8.1 <---- Need Drivers

Hello,

I bought a used ASUS G73JH laptop.
Last owner installed windows 8 so its all screwed up prior to me owning it.

--------------------
Now:

1. updated vBIO
1. formatted Harddrive
2. installed windows 8.1
--------------------

Now lots of things don't work such as:

Keyboard won't light up
No sound is coming from the headphone output
Audio sounds crappy

etc.
--------------------

Anyone know where I can get all the proper drivers and/or what to do fix these problems ?

please try to find vander driver for audio.

You could try some of the drivers off the ASUS support website:
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=G73Jh&p=3&s=252&os=30&hashedid=8je5Ot4HBnKOdT81

If these drivers don't install, try unpacking them and pointing Windows driver installer at them. Most would work, I would guess, since Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are similar under the hood.

Update:

Well, after all my efforts of installings, re-installings----> windows 8.1 on my ASUS g73jh
and many long nights of searching for drivers and keeps freezing up, i gave up.

I went back to windows 7 64 bit and WOW everything is working just fine and smooth.

So let this be a warning to G73JH owners 😄

That's good that you got a resolution. To be honest, Windows 8 isn't that useful unless you have a touch-enabled computer. Glad you got it all worked out! 🙂
