Welcome to the forum

Download windows updates, install a game or two and start enjoying the new toy. Lucky you, I am still saving up for a G series myself

What case/sleeve will fit the g74sx

you'll have to look around as it is a big, unorthodox, laptop. i'd recommend a Targus Messenger (Citygear XL). or maybe thinkgeek's bag of holding.

Targus bag works GREAT IMHO, that's the bag I decided to go with, have not seen thinkgeek's bag in person so I can't comment on that one.
Current Laptop: ASUS G74SX-BBK7 😄

Previous Laptop: ASUS G72GX-RBBX05
(Still own it, but it has the annoying whitescreen flicker due to poor LCD cable placement problem)

You might want to check out this thread when the dude puts his review up.
Read the User's Manual for more info. 😄

Yes, you want to use the thermal pads. Paste is not really the same for that application. It's harder to keep in place and it doesn't have the same thickness. I doubt they will really pay much attention to this or care. Usually what will happen is that you have an RMA and if they find that user servicing caused a problem they will push back. If there is just a faulty piece of hardware and you left everything the way you found it then I would not worry.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

Did you take the pretty yellow sticker off the CPU?
