Hi there

I just bought a G750JX Netbook

and the problem is when I plug in the power cable to the laptop and touch it I feel vibration tingling on the surface

and when I unplug it and use just the battery the vibration tingling is gone

so it just happens when I plug in the cord cable

I tried to plug it in another place it's the same

And I tried the 3 pin cable as well as a 2 pin cable

it's really uncomfortable

I contacted Asus support and they told me to use the 3 pin cable which is what i'm using

Any Help?

Its an EARTHING problem, call electrician and check the earth cable and it will be fine

Have you tried checking the steel brushed surface with a voltage meter?

Are you sure it's not the hard drive?

It does sound like an earth problem, but make sure.

I don't think it's earth problem and definitely not the hard Drive

the second I plug in the power cable it starts vibration tingling ,and the second I unplug it ,it stops

I tried to plug it in multiple rooms in the house, Same problem

I also had the same problem, i got a 3 pin cable attached to the adapter but there was this tingling problem, i get the cable checked by electrician and he told me that the EARTH pin is not connected with any wire inside the cable, i get the new 3 Pin cable and its working fine without any tingling or vibrating,
As if your cable is fine then there is surely a Earthing problem, i will suggest you to check any of your electrical equipment connected with power with a 3 pin and check its metal body, if its also gives you tingling, then its earthing problem.

Is it actually vibrating, or a tingle? You need to confirm. If you put something on the surface, will it rattle? Or is the 'tingle' the sort you'd get from an electrical current?

If you have a volt meter, please try. ';x

it's actually feels like electrical current as you said

cuz when I touch the surface slightly I felt like tingling

unfortunately I don't have a voltmeter

I'm sorry for not being specific

Thanks amitabhbansal.

AhmedDan, for your own safety, I URGE you to find a way to minimise this 'tingling' feeling by sorting out your earthing issue, it can lead to a serious incident on your own health.

Also on a side note, when you're plugged in, does your laptop charger become hot? ( By hot, too hot to touch? )

During your use of the laptop, have you ever had a blackout? Or has your power board turned off when you plugged in the charger?

You MUST figure out this issue if it really is a grounding problem, it's imperative.

=========

Your laptop charger MUST BE EARTHED. You are using an electrical appliance for long periods of time!

Your charger is: 19.5 Volt DC, 9.23 Amp, 180 Watt

ONE AMP CAN KILL YOU, your Charger feeds NINE

Your two hands are on the laptop, which leads to your arms, your shoulders, which both cross your HEART.

YOU NEED TO FIX THIS.

PLEASE test with a Volt Meter, you can buy one for 5-10 dollars. I guarantee that it's worthwhile if it can save your life.

I have this tingling problem when I connect it to a power strip, even if the laptop was turned off I feel the tingling the moment I connect it to a power strip \ power board

but when I connect it to a grounded outlet I don't feel any tingling at all

====================================

when I felt that tingling feeling I've been using the laptop with the battery only, I disconnected it immediately from the power board so I've not been using it that much with the power strip

and since I plugged \ connected the charger to a grounded outlet the tingling is gone , no more tingling

my wall socket is 'USA type (B)'

so do you think (it shouldn't be plugged or connected to a power strip \ power board) and it be should connected Earthed \ to a grounded outlet

Any electrical appliances should be connected with proper Earthed/Grounded outlet or else the board parts get spoiled and also u and your family can get harm.
