I have a gu501 laptop and i would like to enable WOL. Currently, i have been able to setup WOL but only if the computer is in sleep mode and not "off". I have turned off power management for the usb ports and cannot find a switch in the BIOS to enabe continous power to the usb ports. Currently, i am using ethernet to usb-a. Would an Ethernet to TB-3 work better? Any advice would be appreciated.
