How To Set Default Boot Power Plan?

PentiumCore
Level 7
Hey,

I was wondering if there was anyway my laptop could boot into the "balanced" power plan whenever I start the system.

When I select that option and restart / power off-on it will automatically set itself back to "Power4G High Performance" which means it stays overclocked. I like the Balance option which only uses what it needs.

Now I know by simply selecting the balanced option every time I start up the laptop is a way around it but the thing is... I ALWAYS forget to do this until the time comes to shutdown, and I'm like "damn...forgot to switch it again." lol.

Thanks!

You could just remove Power4gear completely and stick with the default windows power management plans, they remember the last one chosen. I don't think there's any actual benefit to running power4gear.

OK, I've gone ahead and uninstalled it, thanks! - How do I restore it if I needed it for whatever reason?
