Hey again,
i noticed that my GPU fan is always running and i can hear it easily, ppl here say that there G750 is very quiet, i have a JH and it makes a sort of a humming sound, so anyone know how to know at which speed it runs and how to control it ??
and some ppl say that there fans stop when temps are good, mine never did !!

CPU 38-42 normal use
GPU temps are 40-45 on normal use

thank you

Well, GPU fan on a JH should always be spinning. The new JZ models feature Optimus which use the intel gpu when you don't need that 'power'. But the JH always uses the gtx 780m. So, even at idle, its still at the very least pushing your display. Now whether or not its running fast/loud, I don't know.

If you could open up the asus gpu tweak program, there should be a area that shows current gpu fan speed. Could you check that and repost with answer.

That will be able to tell us if the speed is good.

As for sound, is it loud, or a slow/low hum that you can barely tell?

If you think its louder than that, then take a video with your phone or something, post it to youtube, and then reply with the link.

I know its not an answer, but if you provide us the fan speed and audio, we will give you a 100% answer if its normal or not. If its not, depending, we will recommend things to try to fix, or to send in for repair.

OH, and there is absolutely no fan control. You can open gpu tweak and run max fans, but that's it.

Thank you for replying, as for the humming sound it comes from my table, i lifted the laptop up and it stopped and returns when i put it back down, for the gpu fan speed i didn't know which value it is so here are screenshots of the charts in GPU tweak: http://prntscr.com/456xch and the second part http://prntscr.com/456x18 tell me if you see the fans speed

as for the sound its not loud, but its not as everyone here discribes as nearly silent, and i guess i noticed because i had a dell n5050 which had a tiny fan that spinned very quietly when at idle, the CPU fan turns at 2200-2300 rpm, and never shuts off

Alright, well you sent/linked picture to actual gpu tweak. Which upon realizing is exactly what I told you to do.

But there is a different asus gpu tweak. Its really only useful for turning gpu fan on max, and allowing gpu to overclock or not.

Theres really no monitoring like the traditional gpu tweak.

But, glad you figured out the humming noise!

For fan noise, if in an entirely silent room, will be somewhat noticeable. But if your in a room with some ambient noise on, it should be just noticeable if you listen for it. If that helps at all.

do you have a link for that one ???, as for the fan noise, yes if there is a bit of ambient noise its hard to hear it, so yes i guess my fans noise is normal

NBFC (NoteBook FanControl) can control your fans. Is not the perfect way, but this is the best you can get so far.

Just add this profile, it can be tweaked, still not the final form, but don't have the time to test to make it perfect:

The nVIDIA nTUNE utility should have a fan setting if your mobo allow it. You can find it here-
