Its only more difficult if for some reason the BIOS update fails. You are taking your chances every time you do update your BIOS. and you shouldn't unless there is something in the newer BIOS that you actually need. Update the BIOS is not like updating drivers.
If your going ahead updating you BIOS I agree with Infernostorm using USB and Ezflash in your BIOS. Be 100% sure you USB chip is a good one formatted fat32 nothing else on it. Extract your Zip file directly to your USB drive do not copy it to the USB Drive. Let us know how it all goes most times is goes good.
