I downloaded latest drivers that are the correct ones for my laptop off intel.com.. i tried installing it, and it gives me a error sayng i need to get specific drivers from manufacturer from the company i bought it from???

My intel drivers are from 2/14 and these are much newer... Since everything goes through the intel even with 8800 running i want to keep intel up to date?? How do i do this? I Have the G750JZ

HomieOC, thats odd, I haven't seen that message from Intel for quite a while. What is the link to the page you downloaded from, and what is the version number .inf driver you tried to install?

The current version 9.4.0.1027 in the JM/JZ download area is the same one I have installed .1027, and the usual place I check for newer versions is the Intel Driver Update Utility page, where it runs a java program through my browser to check my machine for versions and provides download links for newer drivers if they exist.
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect

Or, you can start here at the Intel Download Center and search manually for new chipset drivers.

And, it looks like there is a newer version 10.0.0.13, which I was able to download and install on my JH without an error message...

It's the same process to get the latest Intel Graphics driver, the Intel Driver Update Utility has sections for Graphics and Network, etc.

I can't test it, or try to install any Intel Graphics Drivers, as this is a non-Optimus JH... try the link I gave to have the Intel Driver Update Utility find out the latest, then use that name to do a manual search.

Somehow you got an incompatible graphics driver during your search, try again 🙂

Please excuse the partially hi-jacking but aside from the change of file name what/which benefits are there in upgrading the Chipset INF?
I mean, there's got to be more than just "This allows the operating system to show the correct name for that piece of hardware in Device Manager."
Otherwise I'm inclined to leave well enough alone.

Norup58, don't worry about it then, don't do the update 🙂

The Intel Driver Update Utility auto detects a Graphics Driver for you, and when you download it and try to install you get that error?

You could try to search for an earlier or later versions and try that, but I would report that problem to Intel/Asus, you shouldn't be recommended a Graphics driver that doesn't work 🙂

I have the same problem with G750JM.

I think I had the same issue with my intel drivers update, the problem was that I already had installed the drivers from the ASUS support site.

I am 95% sure that I solved the problem by uninstalling the intel graphic driver and did a clean install with the one from the intel download center. If you don't mind trying this might be the solution.
