Help with merging partitions

Hello guys.

I own a GL552VW-DH71, and I successfully installed a M.2 SSD. Now I want to format and make the default 1TB HDD as one partition to use as my storage drive. After following the guides online, where they asked me to delete one of the partitions (the one in the most right) for me to be able to merge them. Unfortunately, I ended up getting errors.

This is what my Disk Management looks like:
The disk 0 is the 1TB HDD, while the disk 1 is the 250gb ssd.

What I want to do is just make them as 1 partition (whole 1TB) to use as storage drive. But when I try to right click it, and click on "extend volume", this error pops up: "There is not enough space available on the disk to complete this operation"

Just for additional info, the unallocated space could not be made into a new volume for some odd reason. I get this error whenever I try to. "The size of the extent is less than the minimum"

Can anyone help me please? I searched the web, and used about 4 or 5 free partition wizards, but to no avail. Some of them wont let me even touch the unallocated space. And if possible I don't want to buy the paid versions. Thanks in advance.

first I suggest you convert the dynamic volume to basic and try again. What freewares have you tried? In disk management, you can only extend partition using the unallocated space next to its right side. so even if you shrink 😧 drive, the option to extend C: drive is still grayed out. My suggestion is to use a third party software, AOMEI Partition Assistant, both the standard (free) or the Professional(paid) version will do. you can use it to either move the unallocated space and extend partition with disk Management or directly*merge partitions.

Hello.

After I converted the disk to basic, I was able to make all of them back to blue again. But i still cant merge them all. I tried that partition wizard but i was unsuccessful with the dynamic disk, Ill try again later with the basic disk.

dont you need to "run" DISKPART on the disk, then run CLEAN command? this wipes out ALL the partitions, then you re-launch disk manager, it will see it, and ask you to format it. you have one huge volume again. (you will lose all the data)
im not an expert but i just went through this removing and wiping the 1TB drive myself. the partitions were protected because of the ausus stuff.

this was helpful to me
