help! torn between getting G75VW w/ 660M or other laptops w/ 680M

Shopping for a new laptop and i'm torn between getting G75VW w/ the GTX 660M and one of the other top laptops that have the new GTX 680M.
I like the ASUS for the apparent balance between performance, low noise, and better cooling. I also like the appearance as well. I want the 660M because of the Kepler architecture.

However, I am hesitant to blow almost $2k for a laptop that seems to have an already (soon to be) outdated GPU. I've been reading that the GTX680M is also Kepler and offers way better performance with more efficiency than the 670/660. However, only other companies are offering the 680M as options (e.g. sager, orion, xoticpc etc...)

What would you guys do?

If you game more than anything else, 680M.

If not, I just hate my Clevo under full load, even if the CPU never goes above 65°C. HATE IT!

About noise, I have to warn you, G75 is not exactly dead silent either. G55 (at least what I've got) is silent.

Can you explain why you hate your clevo under full load? Is it too hot and loud?

Yea I would say you either get the g75 with the 670m or other laptop with 680m..

Yea but I don't want the 670M but rather the 660M bc of the Kepler architect. So is the 680M that much better than an over clocked 660M to warrant to get like a sager over the G75 is what I'm strugglin with.

I game but not hardcore and will need the laptop to be an all around beast for work stuff and media consumption.

The dollar to bang ratio is way off ... I'd go with the G.c.

It's too loud. But like I've said, G75 is not that silent.

About 670M and 660M I've writen too many times. I'll just pass this one. I guess I'll let people think Kepler is a much better card.

Best 660M OC, well over the board (no one knows for how long can it run like that), it's like half the performance of 680M.

At some point, there will be a 665M card that will do some +675M numbers maybe (just like we have already 640M and 645M that most likely will push 655M on the market as well), but I don't think it will OC as much.

I would do a few days of research to see the pros and cons of going with the 660m/670m/680m

Yea do some research before deciding.. my 670m OC'd performs a bit better than 675m..

Wolf, how is the fan noise and heat for the 670M? the reason i was interested in the 660M is i read somewhere that the performance difference is small but the 660M runs more efficient because of the kepler architecture (e.g. quieter and cooler). Do you find that as true?

I just having a hard time pulling the trigger on the 660M card when the 680M is already out etc..
