Help! G75VX Black Sreen at Boot

Hi guys. Can any body help me with this problem? I'm having a black screen during boot after i installed the new nvidia 320.18 driver.

Here's what happen, i was preparing to uninstall the old 314.22 driver but i don't know what came into my head and i used Revo uninstaller for that. then i think it was fine but when i open control panel the drivers are still in the Uninstall/Change List but if i try to remove it is not responding. so i just installed the new driver with the clean install option in the checkbox of nvidia installation. so after that i rebooted and voila the black screen. At first there is ROG logo then nothing for how many minutes. but sometimes when i boot it goes ok and sometimes the black screen. I already tried system restore but still the same. is it a problem with registry or what because maybe the revo erased some file in the registry. What is the solution for this?thanks guys i know someone will answer this.

i think you can try into save mode and remove NVIDIA driver, could you try full restore system and get unluck?

Me too! i have the same problem, so i uninstall all triver by control panel, now i install using Nvidia folder (in c:\) whit clean setup, i pray to resolve, i have bigo problem whit 3D too!

Well, I am also using g75vx and had the exact problem after 320.18 driver update. Problem is solved when i restored back to the date of nvidia driver update. I recommend you to the same

I have also.. I tried everything backup format uninstall/install etc. but after I installed 320.18 it comes again.. So I installed 314.22 again and I have no problem now. If you find a solution with 320.18 please help 🙂 By the way sorry for my English.

Do not use the 320.18 drivers. They will cause nothing but problems and they'll be difficult to fix. I've been suffering from the same thing for the past few days. In case you've already installed them I suggest you follow these instructions I found online as they might help:-
You'll need:-
*Compatible/Working geforce driver for you GPU extracted from Nvidia installer to a newly created folder on your desktop.
*Installed Driver Fusion, aka Driver Sweeper Link: http://www.treexy.com/media/30691/driver_fusion_1.6.0.exe
*Installed CCleaner Link: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard

First: Boot into Safe Mode follow instructions below!
*Win7 -Restart PC and keep hitting F8 on your keyboard until you see an option to select Safe Mode.
*Win8 -Open Notepad, copy and paste the following command line: C:\Windows\system32>shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
-then save-as this text file with the following name onto your desktop: SafeBoot8.bat
-Now once you run this created batch file your PC will reboot into SafeMode Menu, select option 4 for Safe Mode.

Second: Once in Safe Mode Go to your device manager!
-1- Win7/Win8 hold down Windows Key on your keyboard & simultaneously press R, paste the following command and hit OK: devmgmt.msc
-2- Now expand Display adapters by clicking on the small triangle then right-click on your Nvidia GeForce GPU and select Uninstall.
-3- Then open Driver Fusion Utility and select/mark Nvidia Display & Nvidia PhysX & hit analyze, delete what ever it finds but don’t click on reboot just yet.
-4- Open CCleaner and scan registry several times until it finds nothing once finished reboot your Win7/Win8 PC back into Safe Mode.
-5- Repeat step 3 & step 4 above until Driver Fusion finds nothing, rebooting into Safe Mode each time until finished.

Third: Installing working driver from Safe Mode!
-Open GeForce Driver folder that you had created previously from an extracted driver at the beginning of this guide, and right-click on setup.exe & run as Admin
-Click Agree & Continue & select Custom/Advanced option & deselect everything that you don’t need or have use for like 3D crap but make sure you select clean install.
-Finish Installation and reboot normally

Hi guys im really sorry for being a jerk and didnt respond to this thread. i was really busy with my job. those who replied thanks a lot for the HELP. i did found a workaround i just intalled the 314 driver over the 320 and when all was finished i rebooted to safe mode and uninstalled the 314 driver again and when i rebooted there were zero nvidia drivers and then i reinstalled the 314 driver again. I heard from a friend that the 320 driver had a lot off issues with our GPUs even worst was other cards were killed. but thank God my VX is now alive and healthy. thanks a lot guys. i'm really sorry.

Where are you guys getting your drivers from?
I would not recommend using Asus site for this for the Nvidia Drivers..
I always use The Nvidia GeForce site and use their GeForce experience control panel.
Im currently using 320.49 and its been awesome.
the control panel also optimizes best game settings automatically for you.
I have never had a issue doing the driver updates this way.
