Help! display issues

I bought this computer and have swapped it out a few times now due to horizontal lines appearing in darkly shaded areas. The problem persists, i'm thinking it may be the same problem posted here http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=227767 . I've tried different drivers and everything i can think of including calling both asus and nvidia, but i'm so close to getting rid of the whole computer. I got it from best buy and it has the gtx 660m video card in it. If anyone has any advice please help. Is it software or hardware related?

First I didnt notice it, but u have right I gave for my laptop almost 1900$ in my country and saw today in "dark" game. You have right in dark places u can see horizontal lines. I have the newest drivers from asus site. Can anyone help us with this issue?

I have a request for everyone who bought G75. Those horizontal lines are more noticable when u close your eyes to the screen. Check this in some dark games. Thanks

Looks like nvidia is working on a driver fix so it is a combination hardware/software thing apparently that nvidia will fix eventually in the driver.

John Do you have the same horizontal lines? u didnt confirm and i remember u bought G75...

Aras what would I have to do exactly to reproduce it? Not really a gamer here ( senior oracle database geek ) ... only game I have on my new machine is Crysis.

The lines appear in any dark areas for me, you have to get close up or look directly on to see them. They show up in games, movies and pictures. Ive also found that in some video special effects it almost looks like they create an ugly blocky border. If you have not seen them they might not be so visible, but no that i have noticed them it bugs the hell outa me.

U have right I have just noticed that on ROG default wallpaper in windows - downside of the screen.

I do not seem to have any dark lines ... so no my machine does not seem to show the issue. Possibly multiple different displays by different vendors in the G75VW's?

Hey john u didnt noticed it normally. First u need to see those line in games(bright not dark) to know what we are ecaxtly taking about i THink. Personaly it is not a big deal for me, but it should be repair.
