Help! Can't seem to find or enable the i7s Intel HD Graphics 4000 card.

I am operating on the following system:

ASUS G75VW-RS72
3th Gen Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7-3720QM (2.6~3.6GHz, 8MB L3C, 22nm, 45W)
nVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M w/3GB GDDR5 VRAM

Purchased from AGearNotebooks

The Ivy Bridge processors of course has the Intel HD Graphics 4000 integrated GPU. I am wanting to do some OpenCL applications utilizing that Intel HD Graphics GPU but under my device manager's display adapters is only the NVIDIA card. Also, in CPU-Z and GPU-Z, it does not show the card as an available option.

I read around that you must enable the card in BIOS but there is no option in BIOS(Aptio) but unfortunately there is no option available in BIOS to do so. How to get the Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics controller to show up as a device so that I can download and install the available Intel drivers for it.

ARE YOU SERIOUSLY SERIOUS?!? GO DIE PLEASE! You buy a top of the line gaming power house and are looking for this crappy Intel HD Integrated chipset?! for god's sake! you don't even deserve to be the owner of an ASUS G75

and just to answer your question! The G75 does NOT have this useless integrated graphics! Other notebooks may have it but ours don't and THANK GOD FOR THAT!

Some laptops have both an integrated chipset and the dedicated graphics chipset, for example, the Intel HD Graphics 4000 and the nVIDIA GEFORCE 670 GTX, and you can usually switch between them via a switch on the laptop, when you want to save power, you switch to the integrated intel HD graphics 4000, when you want full power and to game or watch movies at high quality, you switch to the dedicated graphics chipset.

That technology is crap and causes a lot of headaches and real gamers don't need that ****

It's actually an advantage that this laptop does not have the intel integrated graphics card. On some laptops switching can be a royale pain.

It was one of the reasons I bought the G75 over other laptops on market in similar price bracket.

I agree with you a 100%!!!!!!!

I had a Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 and it was a nightmare to force all my apps / games to only play with the nVIDIA Chipset rather than playing with the crapppy integrated HD Graphics 3000 that it had! I will never buy a laptop which has a dual graphics function they are more of a hassle than a convenience!

To clarify, it's not that the laptop doesn't have it...all the i7 processors on the mobile platform have it. It is lacking other things that are required in order to switch to it.

It's there, Asus has disabled settings to use it by itself.
