Okso I just got my ASUS G75VW-BBK5 a little bit ago. And I amnot sure if this is a big problem but it is to me. So the battery icon on the bottom right I move my mouse over it and it says Plugged in, not charging. Help please. I well need the battery soon as I am going on a trip. Appreciate it and well thank you a lot if you help me fix the problem.

Temperature can get too high during gaming or intensive computer usage sessions. Charging the battery at higher temperatures wears it out quicker, as does micro-cycling.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

I had an "issue" with my BBk sitting at 98% or 99% ... so like night I did a calibration on it.
Went into the other room , hooked it up to the projector and played some dead space 3 on the battery until windows 8 shutdown due to battery.
Turned it on again and waited for it to shutdown again ... and did that again until it would not turn on again.
Letting it sit overnight (as it was in sleep mode basically) I woke up this morning and then plugged it in to charge.

Now... 100% charged is it listed at.

Maybe try that.

If you download HWMonitor it will show you the current mWh capacity of the battery. If the Current Capacity listed does not match the Full Charge Capacity then it obviously isn't fully charged (hence why it will sit at 99% sometimes while it finishes the last increments of the charge).
