HDMI output intermitent dropouts of consistently same duration

Have a G73Sw A1 , New revision,etc..
Annoying problem is that When I have it hooked up to the TV via HDMI I'm getting an intermittent dropout of the video signal about every 4 to 10 minutes. I thought the cable or port itself,(Either on the computer OR TV end) may be the problem, But upon closer analysis I realized the dropout duration has 2 variations of duration.
The first is it drops out for a second and comes back for a second then drops out again for a second then comes back and stays.(Until it happens again. ) The second is it drops out for 5 seconds solid then comes back fine,(Until it happens again.)

The problem never ever deviates from these two patterns. The length of time of the drop outs are always the exact same.
The only variation is perhaps the amount of times one of these two types of dropouts occurs in say, a 20 minute period.

Driver issue? Not sure.. Anyone heard of such a thing? I've been using the HDMI out every day for 2 months since I got the machine. And this has been the only problem since day one. Ty for any light that might be shed on this issue.

1) Do you get the same behavior if you attach your laptop to a different TV?
OR
Do other computers attached via HDMI to your TV display this behavior?

3) Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

4) What resolution and refresh rate have you configured for the TV? Does changing these parameters change behavior?

5) What video driver version are you running?

@tehhunter encountered a similar issue in http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?10255-G74SX-NH71-HDMI-Output-Problems It turned out to be his TV.
