HDD Caddy help.

I bought one of these for my G75: http://goo.gl/H9qaY

Its okay, but it makes a rattling noise, its a cheap sheet metal, and the fit isn't exactly perfect. I was wondering if anyone knows of one of higher quality? I was thinking this: http://goo.gl/rdokv

but it being made for macs, I wasn't sure if it would work. It seems to be the right shape, but i don't know if the face-plate from the drive will clip on to it like this one.

Also, If I replace the caddy but keep the same drive in it, will it mess up my RAID array?

Thanks to all,

I think there are power issues with using your optical drive bay as a 3rd drive... why can't you make due with the two available slots in the G75?
G75VW-BBK5 Windows 8 Pro 1TB HDD, 180GB Corsair Force GT Sata3 SSD, 16GB DDR3, GeForce GTX 660M, Intel i-7 3610-QM 2.3Ghz Turboboost to 3.3Ghz

i am using the same caddy as yours currently, but mine fits nicely.

don't do swapping. it will mess up your raid. one thing to note is the caddy runs at sata 2, not sata 3 as your primary and secondary bays.

I am using the same cheap caddy as you, and have power issues with it. My HDD does not work very well in it. I think it receives less power than usual, and spins down quite often after just a little time of being idle. If i knew this would happen I wouldn't have done the upgrade, after all a few seconds of boot up time faster are not a pain to die for. I hope when the new drivers roll out this will be fixed, but no one knows for sure.

Since we're on the subject, does anybody know where I could possibly get a quality ODD Caddy? Even if it runs at SATA II speeds still makes a great addition for the G55VW if we're using the cheaper SATA II SSDs.
