Your issue appears similar to http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?12155-Pink-Matrix-Like-Scan-Lines-amp-Other-issues-G74S&.

How long have you had this laptop?

If you connect the laptop to an external monitor or HDTV, does the laptop screen and HDTV both display the video issue?

Have you flashed to the new BIOS yet, or updated your nVidia drivers?

I had this problem at once when I used G75vw since I bought for about 1months.

Could be a few issues but it will be centered around the GPU.

Try the latest beta drivers from Nvidia and see if that fix's the problem.

Use MSI After burner and launch it. Play a little and post a screen shot of the MSI program. This will show your clocks and temps. Memory overclocked to much can cause issues like this and so can a overheated GPU.

Happen on all games or just one? Does this happen in windows?

Chances are it will need a RMA to replace that GPU.

If you've only had your laptop for a week, consider running a Linux "LiveCD" distribution or perform an F9 ASUS Factory Restore to return your system to an out-of-the-box state and try to reproduce your video issue. If you can, contact your retailer and see if you can exchange your defective laptop for a new one. Do not RMA to ASUS for Warranty repair..
