I'm going back to school in January. Will this backpack fit at least 2 or 3 text books and other school supplies in addition to the laptop? I had a laptop bag that "fit 17" and larger laptops" but apparently they didn't figure for one designed to be a low, sleek and log stealth fighter. Besides, I kept my MacBook Pro in it... I wouldn't want my G73JW to get mad at me.

I doubt it. Unfortunately the G73 backpack does not even fit the laptop itself that well, it rubs quite a bit even fitting it in the laptop pocket. Then once you load the power brick, mouse, and headphones there really isn't room for a lot else. The backpack was one of the specific reasons I chose the A1, but have been very disappointed in it.

I'd keep looking, there are much better bags out there.

due to the sizing, think it would fit a G51 pretty good, or do you think it'd be too big?

I personally found no issues with the backpack. I used it for my senior year of high school, and I continue to use it for post-secondary. With my G73+power cable in the backpack, I was easily able to fit two text books or three binders, or some combination of the two. If I was able to do that with my large lappy, the G51 should provide no issues to storage in the backpack.

The only issue I did have, was mentioned by groo. I ended up rubbing some of the rubberized coating off of the edges of my G73 from constantly putting it in, and removing it from the backpack. If it was correctly packed, there was no issue, but if I just tried to shove the laptop in, I would have to force the zippers over the edge, causing that scrape.

Shouldn't be a problem with the 15" lappy though.
