GeForce Driver 337.78

Dream
Level 7
Updated this morning to 337.78. I was two/three updates behind.

The local geforce program had trouble downloading the driver directly from Nvidia but I was able to download directly off the site without issue.

Made a system restore point, did a clean install, zero problems thus far. I'll post if I encounter any. Nvidia is claiming ~10% or more improvement for a wide variety of games. Looking forward to seeing if those claims pan out

don't download this driver...beware!!! it made my gpu reach to 90c..and some peoples cpu reached to 105c with it...no matter what i did i couldnt go back to my old temps i had to fresh install a windows..and now my max temp is 72c after 2 hours of gaming in bf4..before in less than 2 minutes it would reach to 82c and then climb up...i have the gtx 870m 6gb...maybe it only does that for 8 series but a lot of people complaining about how laggy and stuttery this driver makes their system..watch dogs ran like crap..i would recommend to stay away from it and use the beta driver.

kingkaan, several other G750 8xxm owners have already started running 337.88 without those problems. We haven't had any reports like that here.

It might be because you are running 337.88 on your Clevo 870... and, I thought you had an SLI config... SLI configs often have problems with new performance enhanced drivers, the next bump release will likely fix your SLI problems.

Or, maybe it was coincidental? Maybe something else happened around the same time you installed 337.88, and doing a reinstall of Windows fixed it? You could try installing 337.88 again to be sure - if you have SLI, can you disable it?

I'm not having any issues with the new driver.. hmm.. Did you mkae sure you removed the driver and its registry files? Before doing the new driver install. make sure you check the clean installation box

Running great (till now 🙂 )
Playing games... no overheating... max 81C in Crysis3, Batman AO
3D works great too!

Also have the .88 drivers on a 870m. No problems whatsoever. Maybe your cooling is faulty?

if my cooling was faulty after reinstalling windows my temp wouldnt be at 72c max in heavy games. did you even read my post? i guess you didnt because i already said in my post. i know how to do clean install im not new to computers. not everyone meant to run into problems i also know a few people with 870ms ran into problems with this driver. i guess lucky you guys.

Chill. If youre not new to computers, maybe you knew that drivers are low level software that control the hardware almost directly. Older drivers ( especially the beta ) could have had poor support for the 870m hardware, and when good support finally came some metal can choke. So believe me, a lot of strange things can actually be hardware issues.

kingkaan, is this happening on your Clevo, or on a G750?

3DMark Vantage doesn't work correctly after this update on 860m, GPU tests only, to be precise. I did a clean driver install and also tried reinstalling Vantage, to no avail.
Can somebody test to confirm?

Games Bond, I just got a failure on my JH, and send the bug report, but when I was brought to the download page a newer version of 3DMark Vantage is available, I am downloading 1.1.3 now, which came out Feb 2014, my version was 1.1.2 - I will update after I uninstall/install/run it.

After reinstalling with 1.1.3, I made it through a full run, but the version still says 1.1.2...
