So i just returned from an undisclosed location (thank you Air Force 😛 ) and i picked up a G75VW-BBK5 model used from a buddy on base for a really good price. Just wondering if anyone is running any game booster programs so they can get that little bit more oomph from their rig. I have heard of iobit game booster and i recently just got an invite from razer for their version of the same game booster. any recommendations and reviews of a good game booster would be gladly appreciated 😉

İ dont think you need a booster, The Laptop playes all games currently on the market.
Myself i am Playing FSX, BF3 and Black ops on the highest possible settings and there are no problems - the laptop handles it easily.

Hope that ı could clarify a little

Yea, gameboosters are not good for this machine.. All you need todo is get the latest drivers, make sure there is no bloatware running in the background and also since you bought it used, you should do a clean windows install and reinstall the latest drivers so you have a fresh piece of kit todo your gaming.. If you are playing any specific games and need a bit better performance lemme kno, i can advise you on the optimum settings. But really, the g75 should be able to handle pretty much everything you throw at it.. With a medium overclock on the GPU it will handle EVERYTHING 😄 even crysis 2 if you set it up right, it runs smoothly on higher than ULtra settings.. LIke SUPER ULTRA lol and it wudnt go under 30fps

Planning on a clean install once i get my SSD :). i am currently playing Battle Field 3, Dota 2, Day of Defeat and Team Fortress 2. Yeah and setting suggestions would be greatly appreciated ;). i have the G75VW-BBk5 model so you can use that to know what setings i can rock to max out my performance would be cool.

Thank You

Ok, the only game ive played that you listed is battlefield 3.. And that was on my bro's g75, havnt installed it on mine..

But yea i can give you some good tips on the graphics settings if you send me a screenshot of the display/graphics settings in the game..

Are you using 3d model of the g75? If you are, set the refresh rate to 120hz. Also turn off v-sync or put it to adaptive and turn triple buffering off..
A few general rules when setting the graphics:
Anti-aliasing usually takes up a big peice of processing so i would say set that to 2 or 4 at most.
Motion-blur also has a hit on ur fps so take it off.
SMAO and HDAO are big hits on fps too..

If you want a boost in performance, Download MSI-Afterburner and overclock GPU

Game boosers. Using a program that takes resources to free up resources. Thats like putting a hole in your bucket to fix a leaky bucket. They work if you have 9000 processes running and you click every link that says download and love your yahoo babalon etc search bars.

Also if you wanna make your boot times a little faster head over to samsung. down load the smart settings for the samsung chronos 7 and turn on the fast boot. Changes some stuff and helps cut the boot time down quite a bit. Also has some other things you may find useful.
