G7750JX - Ram upgrade question

Hello,

I own a 2 year old ROG G750JX T4070H. It has two 4 GB RAM DDR3 low power variant PC3-12800 from Samsung. I have attached a screenshot from cpuz.

I plan to add an additional 8 GB stick. I was thinking about getting this Crucial stick (link below)

http://www.notebooksbilliger.de/8gb+crucial+so+dimm+ddr3l+pc3+12800+cl11

I have seen some people experiencing problems when they mix RAM modules from multiple manufacturers. I wanted to ask if anybody has tried this samsung - crucial match? Has it worked? Or any ideas if it will or not work?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks 🙂

The page you linked to isn't loading for me, but as long as it's rated at DDR3-1600 and 11-11-11-28 at 1.35v, it should be fine regardless of the manufacturer.

Thanks for the reply. In the product description it says CL 11. Does that mean 11-11-11-28. Here is another link to the same model from amazon

The CL in CL11 stands for CAS Latency, and represents the first number of the primary timings (CL11-11-11-28). Do a search for the model number (CT102464BF160B) to find the rest of the timings at 800 MHz. What I bought for mine was this...

Hynix 8GB DDR3 Memory SO-DIMM 204pin PC3L-12800S 1600MHz HMT41GS6AFR8A-PB
http://www.amazon.com/Memory-SO-DIMM-PC3L-12800S-1600MHz-HMT41GS6AFR8A-PB/dp/B00N46M5D2

Thanks a lot. By searching the model number, I was able to get full specification from an ad on ebay. It is indeed 11-11-11-28.
And also I will be buying this from a store. So I guess I can verify the timings written on the package before buying.

Hey. Has the RAM upgrade worked out for you?
I also have a G750JX (with 2x4GB sticks) that I want to add 2 additional 4GB RAM sticks to.
The sticks that i can get in my area is also Crucial.

Sorry saw this now. You probably might have already upgraded. But anyway yes it worked just fine. No problems.
