G771JM Powering on issue. Lights but nothing else. How to clear CMOS? PLEASE HELP

Tonight I tried turning on laptop but met with power / battery lights, fans, but nothing on screen. *Tried external display. *Tried no battery. *Tried holding power to drain power with nothing on. *Tried re-seating RAM. *Nothing changed.

So I'm resorting to taking it apart and manually resetting the CMOS / jumper.

Anyone had this issue? *Anyone know how to physically take the machine apart once all the screws are removed from bottom side? *I don't want to force it apart but can't see anything obvious to get access to motherboard.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the trouble.

According to your description, we might suggest you to bring back your NB to our service center to check NB's motherboard.

Any beeps? Any errors?

To clear CMOS, it's on the underside of the motherboard. (It is inverted / upside down). Unplug by the cable. Do not touch the battery itself.

Do at your own risk. ;U

I am having exactly the same problem. Is there a solution for this problem besides to replace the motherboard (I took my laptop to service center and they want me to replace the MB at my own expense - they did not even do any testing)
