ever since i updated my g771jm to windows 10 i've been having lan disconnection problems.. this is a huge problem because I play world of wracraft and i cannot play the game properly when I'm being disconnectedf rom the internet and shot down to limited connection every ten minutes.. only way to fix it is to wait it seems.. I just unplug the ethernet cable from my laptop and then keep going with wifi.. i thought it was only a problem with the LAN.. but its done it a few tmies with the wifi too. it's getting really annoying.. wondering If i should just revert back to 8.1.. but i really don't want to because my laptop is so much faster now and it doesn't overheat anymore.. before my laptop sat at 80-85 degrees during gaming.. now it sits around 60-70 degrees and because of that i get the full power out o fmy cpu.. before it capped at 3.3ghz because of overheating issues but now i get the full 3.5 ghz out of my cpu... and now I can play games on better settings than before and get better framerate.. like tomb raider I was only able to play on ultra settings before on 8.1 and now I can play on ultimate settings and still at a way lower temperature!

Which options you have activated in WLAN?

I have:
Autoconfig - on
Background scan - off
Streaming mode - off

WLAN remained installed after I upgraded from Windows 8.1 and so far I haven't experienced any issues with wifi.

I too am experiencing the LAN disconnect issue. I even reverted to the 8.1 driver and it still happens.
Very very annoying.

Well; used the driver from Realtek website (which is downgrade from the one that comes with Windows); and still no work. 😕

Just as an FYI. I rolled back to Windows 8.1 and still had disconnect issues and the "cable is unplugged" issue. I read somewhere that this may have something to do with VirtualBOx, but I don't have Vbox installed on this notebook. However Avast (free anti virus) that i use has something called the Avast Virtual Box service, which runs a sandbox for unknown files. I decided to try updating avast and my issues went away in Win 8.1. (so far /fingers crossed) Maybe if one of you guys still running Win10 has avast try to update the program, or remove it entirely to see if you get any better results.

I can assure you; this has nothing with avast virtual box; i don't even have this installed.

I got some good news; after running my internet just with WLAN; I seem to have a solution for those having Ethernet issues and drivers. Been running on LAN for half an hour and no issues. Hope this fix works for you (btw I have a G551 laptop). Reading this post I decided to try for those drivers posted here but couldn't find somewhere to download; taking a while I found this website which I guess is another pc manufacturer which has the drivers. There's two drivers; for Win10 and Win8; tried to install the W10 driver but for some reason instead of installing 9.1.401.2015; they installed no matter what the new driver that comes with win10. Then just because of trying I tried to install the Windows 8 Driver v8.38.115.2015/ v7.92.115.2015 ; rebooted laptop and voila; have again ethernet (I don't have dedicated IP on my settings; just automatic); no issues at all. I leave the URL of the page with the driver and direct URL for win8 driver.

http://download.ecs.com.tw/dlfileecs...IA_Realtek.zip

To uninstall go Device Manager; Network Adapters; uninstall your current LAN Driver; then unzip the zip file into any folder and run setup; reboot and magic 🙂

Hope this works for you as it did with me
