g75vx replacement motherboard?

Is there a source anywhere for replacement motherboards for the g75vx?

I've checked eBay and tried searching Google and I've come up empty handed.

Yea Asus Repair is your best bet. I have seen at least one person that found one on ebay, if I remember right it didn't work out for him.

Will they sell it outright, or will they require me to send my PC in to them?

i suggest you sent to asus service center to repair/replace, because if you buy outsite, may be not a asus official MB, and when you dismantle may be have some problem.

I'd really rather just buy the MB. I hate the idea of paying someone else hundreds to do something I can do. 😕

Oh well. Guess I'll try to find a shop to repair the MB.

the sad news is that it's a rare item (might be tagged as premium if you could find it). it's better to send it in rather than spending hundreds to get the mobo (that might not work as expected; that's even risky).
