G75VX Ordered! GTX 670MX - How will it perform?

Hey all - So I held out just long enough and was fortunate enough to find a retailer in Canada that could secure me the new G75VX Model!! 3630QM Processor, 12GB Ram, 750GB 7200RPM HDD, GTX 670MX Video Card! Woot I am so excited as I was about to pull the trigger on the older model with the 670M card.

VERY curious to hear your feedback on how I should expect the 670MX to perform, I know that drivers arnt really even out yet to enhance the card. I know it will be faster then the current 670M, just wondering if it will be fast as the 675M (Fermi). What is the consenus around here? Glad I waited and was able to get the Kepler unit, with the reduced temp on this unit I'm hoping it will be a beast to OC.

Love to hear your feedback!

BTW I was on the fence between this unit at the newest MSI GT70 0ND which was the same specs except it sported a 675M instead of the 670MX.

Congrats on your G75VX on the way. Unfortunately no driver support yet on this new Kepler 670mx.

Upgrade to SSD is a must!

Test it and let us know how it performs

Once you got it try to run 3dmark and gpu-z. Mine crash when I run these apps..

Not if the 670MX came underclocked, then 670M=670MX. Shame on ASUS if it's true.

Can't confirm that. My 670mx is clocked as aspected from Nvidia. Besides that it is very overclocking friendly. Have pushed it from 600/1400 to 790/1690 <---as far as I remember 🙂 Used MSI Afterburner and Diablo 3. GPU was very cool with max 59°C.

Yesterday I've tried to start 3dMark11 but it won't start. Someone in another forum posted that it is an driver issue (graphics card). Will try it tomorrow. Monitored the clocks with MSI afterburner in Diablo. It was interesting how the clocks went up to max (790 core clock) when many enemies were in the screen. If nothing happens the GPU core clock went down to nearly 640. Memory cloks were constant. I think this is called boost mode for nvidia cards. Introduced with femi architecture.
