G75vx blank screen

Hi there,
I have a new g75vx, 10 days old now. Has been working fine until today.

Powered it on this morning all fine, this afternoon turn on, but the screen stays black.

I haven't changed anything so can't see how this has happened. Anyone with a suggestion on how to diagnose the fault?

is it able to power on like fan sound, light? can not see BIOS post or can not into OS?
you can try unplug battery, plug ac adapter, if not help, you will send back to ASUS service center.

Did you recently do any Windows updates?

If you have any peripheral devices attached to your laptop, even an SD card in the Card Reader, remove them and restart. If the screen remains black, you're better off contacting your retailer to see if you can exchange your defective laptop for a new one or get a complete refund.

If you hook the laptop up to an external monitor or HDTV and video displays on the external monitor, but not on the laptop display, it's likely the LVDS cable is poorly-onnected or defective. If both laptop display and external monitor fail to display video, the problem is likely the VGA.

could be the new video drivers were installed. Reboot and hit F8 a bunch of times to refresh your laptop.
