Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if someone could help me.
I'm now working on my third Recovery DVDs from the Asus estore, and it will not boot. The reason for the third, is because I request support on this, and then keep shipping me the same ones, you figured they would test it by now.
The issue is exactly like this: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-7/1133693-asus-g75vw-will-not-reinstall-2.html
Funny thing is the sticker on the DVDs say G75, but what seems to be starange is if you create recovery DVD set from the laptop it produces 4 of them, and only two were shipped from the estore... 1 red flag.
When you insert the DVD it appears to be booting fine, however once it pass the window logo screen, and appears to be boot into a WInPE environment (gray background) it reboots. No error, nothing at all. Just reboots. I've tried this DVD on other Asus, VMware, and other stuff too, does the same thing. I've pretty much tried Everything to see what could be causing the issue.
I was hoping to do a factory restore (as I didn't do a full recovery when I wiped it the first time) so I don't have anything, not that it would have worked as the other form says. When speaking with the Asus REP, they told me because its off warranty, he would only be able to help if we can ensure that the main issue (It will hard crash with any heavy graphic intense program). So how here I am trying to figure out why it will not boot. Yes bad DVDs it could be, however could it really be 3 of them?
Thoughts?
