G75VW Randomly crashing possible HD interference?

Hello,

This is my first time being apart of this forum Woo!
So, I have owned the G75VW for a couple years now and decided a few months ago I wanted to get a bit more HD space and speed. Seeing as it has two lovely HD bays I bought a Samsung 840 Series Pro 128gb SSD and a HGST Travelstar 1TB 7200Rpm HD.

I installed windows and a few other programs on the SSD for faster booting etc. And all my games, music, and projects on the HD.
I have had these installed for a few months and everything has been running smoothly but have been recently getting freezing from my laptop with occasional BSODs in once in a while. And the type of freezing was that of it being stuck randomly either loading a game or a webpage or youtube video from ten seconds to over a couple minutes to then it would become unstuck however it would tend to do this again shortly afterwards. I have rebooted my laptop to see if that has helped first and it helps a little but it will still tend to want to freeze up.

I looked around online to see what the problem might be and saw that possibly the two HDs might be conflicting possibly and they said to make sure the firmware on the SSD is up to date. So I downloaded Samsung Magician which is a neat program that you can test your speed and see that it is up to date etc. It was currently up to date but then I saw something else that it said. It said that it would not be used to its full potential unless it was booted in ACHI mode. I checked in the boot startup and it was in IDE Mode. I changed it over to ACHI mode which then it would cause a very quick BSOD everytime I would load Windows and then it would restart and try to "repair" it which to no avail did not help.

So THAT might be another issue related to why my laptop is freezing up. If anyone has any idea of what may be the problem or if you need more information from my end let me know. I've been updating all my drivers so I'm not sure if that is the case. Another reason why it could be is that I recently moved apartments and have been using a different wifi which not sure why it would cause my computer to freeze up but ever since I've been here it has been doing so. And that I am using a M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface which I have some computer speakers hooked up to. If anyone might have any ideas I would greatly appreciate it and Thank you very much!!:D

P.S. Also I'm not sure if I'm in the correct place for this topic...

You appear to be having windows problems, I would test all my hardware for defects if none present themselves with testing. Then Clean install your OS and programs would most likely solve your problems. Of course any Images that you made along the path to installing your OS the first time would be very useful at this point also, as you would just restore back through them until you reach a stage that the problem goes away.
For BSOD if you want to try to solve it that way the eightforums have a few people that can be helpful. This link explains how you would go about seeking help with BSOD issues.
This thread has information OS installations. You should consider a UEFI GPT installation since you have a SSD that can take advantage of some of the features. The thread I linked you too explains how this is accomplished.

Thank you! I'll be taking a look at that right now but as I was checking to clean my PC I realized that when I installed the new HDs I had forgotten to but on AVG which I'm currently running now and it's finding quite a few problems and fixing. Also Disk cleaning and defragmenting the OS drive to see if it all helps it.

You need as fresh install to swap IDE - ACHI - RAID. Did you get the BSOD code? Did you bring up Event Viewer to see what it shows? Defrag will not fix crashes, registry cleaners are a bad idea. You need a fresh install.
