Asus g75vw questions.
Hey guys!

It's been a long while since I've been on here.

So I have the Asus G75VW-BBK. (Specs below.) got this 2 years ago at Best Buy. Since then I've not upgraded anything except software to Windows 10, removed Asus live and that's about it.

Game wise everything as far as I can tell has always ran perfectly fine on ultra minus
Assassins creed unity - not sure if they ever fixed the terrible issues since release?
Witcher III-I kinda have to run it low. It lags hard core.

With that, I bought some new games on steam this weekend (yay blackfriday!!) and one is gtaV. It got me thinking.
Even though my laptop is 2 years old, will my laptop with today's game not be able to handle them on ultra!?! Already?!?

Would upgrading the harddrive a to SSD help? Anything else I can upgrade my laptop to help game performance? Or am I just updated now :.(.

Yes upgrade to a 2.5 x 9mm or 7mm SATA format SSD. Samsung seems to be the leader. Intel also have no issues. Since you have already upgraded to Windows 10 you can clean install 10 again your hardware will be recognized by MS Activation Servers. Or you can clone what you have both ways work. There is really not much else you can change that will make any noticeable difference. Again post to the Older G Notebooks sub forum for information and answers. Yep were relegated to the Older notebook sub forum :cool:

So we can't really do anything to the graphics card?

Apparently gta V maxed out for me is about 400+mb over my cards capabilities.
I can handle skyrim at ultra but unfortunately I can't handle the witcher III, assassins creed unity (crappy game to begin with.) and so far can't fully handle gtaV

If I could sell my current laptop for a good price id upgrade to the new laptop and pay the difference. Lol

Good luck with getting much money for a G75VW, There are all kinds of configurations most are either 16 32 or 64 GB Ram, either 128 256 or 512 Gb M.2 SSD Graphic Card are different with different models some of the cheaper models have older CPU and GPU. You need to check into it and see what you want and what you can afford price range is 1000 to over 3500
