I'm gonna go ahead and say it's really not a good idea playing any games on your laptop on battery and high performance....you'll drain your battery pretty quickly and then get upset when you're mid-game and it shuts off on you, because it has gone flat lol

so its normal that my screen flicker and become slow?

From what I have been reading, yes. Unfortunately the more you push your laptop on it's battery the faster you drain it. Batteries for now are meant to run light tasks for a few hours but end up falling way short on performance based tasks - aka playing games, vdeo editing stuff like that.

You're right Myk SilentShadow. When you run the G75 on battery (even if it's on High Performance) you will experience regular intervals of low frames per second. It instantly goes away as soon as you plug in to the wall socket.

whats wierd is that my old one (670m model) did that when unplugged, but my new one (660m model) doesnt, probably because of the kepler dealie.

What game do you play and what are your setting at? I have a 660m model and mine drops FPS on battery.

I also have a 660m model and I can see a clear difference in frame rates on and off AC power.

A perfect game to see dips of performance in like this is Diablo 3.... off power everything is staggering and stuttering... on power it's silky smooth.

PS: I also concur with earlier mentionings of "not" turning on high pefornance settings in battery use, the battery will drain quicker than your bank account during a Valve Steam sale!

As a hardcore laptop gamer you just need to warm up to the idea of being tethered to the wall if you wanna be in hardcore game mode. Leave the the long life eco battery braggers a lone to read their emails, word documents and playing farmville!
