I recently purchased a G75VW from a friend for a very good price. When he sold it to me he told me that he jest did a clean install of Windows 10 and he told me about the left touchpad button not working. He neglected to tell me about the keyboard backlight problem though. Anyway by scoring these forums I was able to fix all of the things I didn't know weren't working like the function buttons and the speakers but the problems with the touchpad and the backlight remain. I updated the BIOS to 223 and installed the latest Windows 8.1 drivers for atk0100 and the touchpad but it's still not working. I was about to restore Windows 7 and try to do an upgrade instead of a clean install but the previous owner installed an SSD and moved the recovery partition over to it so f9 doesn't boot into recovery mode. I'm at a loss here. I'm not sure what my next move is. What should I do?
