G75vw black screen no display on bios issue

Hi guys. My laptop, G75vw with 660m was working fine for months. No issues. Been playing daily. Suddenly, the day before yesterday, the laptop did not boot up with the bios logo. All sounds came. The bios sound, the windows boot sound till the login screen everything.

I got worried. I pulled it apart. Right till the internals. Pulled out the rams and reconnected them, the ones under the keyboard. The laptop booted up fine. Then the next day same thing happened. I tried removing the rams again and it booted just fine. I used it a little over an hour. Then I restarted it. Same thing again. No screen. Sounds light everything working. Even windows boot CD can be heard in the dvd drive. Windows boot sound comes up. But just no screen. Tried the ram thing. It doesn't work now.

I am thinking maybe somehow the bios got corrupted. But I didn't even play with it. It was plugged to the wall and I restarted it when it was working fine.

Is there a way to flash a bios without having the screen on? Please help me out here. Thanks.

did you try other DIMM in same slot?

I tried switching the rams. Even one ram at a time. If that's what you mean.

The issue is really weird. I was going to preorder BF4 today. But the only thing I can play it on is this. I really need my laptop right now. I will try all I can to solve this. Please guide me and give me some steps to go through. I removed all cables from the keyboard part to the MB. I pulled out both the rams and hdd. Tried the hold down power button to reset bios thing. Nothing seems to work now.

Just connected my laptop to external display via hdmi. Display showing up. System restored it. It is installing vga and pci drivers. Will disconnect hdmi once done and see.

Now I cant access nvidia settings. Cannot find internal display in screen resolution options. Cant fn+f8. Dont tell me my gpu is toast. It shouldnt be. Was working just fine.

I couldnt see the asus boot logo on the external display. Just some "_" flashing on the top left corner.

Gpu working fine with external display now. Internal display still not working.

Phew! Alright guys. I got it working. Opened the lid with a little rage and it worked flawlessly. But then again same problem. Can someone please tell me how to check the cable or lid switch? Thanks.

This is the best I can come up with its a dissemble video I'm still under warranty so any hardware issues go the repair station.

Guys. I took it for repair at a local shop. The guy says it's some issue with the gpu. But the gpu is giving the display fine on an external display. He can't fix it. Can you guys please guide me if there's something I am missing?

hi, please check the connector of your display panel to the motherboard and make sure it's connected properly. it could be due to the loosened connection.
