Hello all,and happy new year i am new here.Basicily my problem is that the latest 376.33 drivers keeps my 980m boy down a bit.Especially in leugue of legends. In every option i try to play the game i get a constantly 45-50 fps, moreover i have a significant drop in uniengine heaven 4.0 and a 10 fps drop in gta v.After all that,i downloaded for asus the vga drivers,of the version 362.60 if i am not wrong. And everything runs fine for example leugue of legends is to its old glory of 300-400 fps.I Tried ddu and reinstalling but the problem persist...is there anything you can advise me ?

I understand this and i totally agree...but if an user wants th g sync capabilities some tweaks can be done...
For example, G sync on and fast sync on...this is will keep everything stable...micro stutter some times...

Games like FIFA doesn't work well with uncapped fps...so the best option (without micro stutter) is to leave everuthing uncapped on the game settings and in the Nvidia CP put g sync and v sync on.

It is a bust but true.

Its very strange....now i enabled fast sync on Nvidia Inspector via 188xxx code i think and i turned on gsync and everything worked fine...with v-sync in game off,and if i turn it on,the game goes normaly to 75 fps...soo...maybe it is a gsync related issue?

GSync doesn't cap the FPS. For that you use VSync. Or use Fast VSync to have uncapped FPS without tearing. What you've just described is how it is supposed to work.....I think.

G sync only goes to 75 (refresh rate of monitor g752vy) then if a game gives higher than 75 fps three scenarios can happen. G sync is "shutdown" and then these can start :

fast sync >> unlimited fps with some micro stutter in some games some times (this is the future lets wait for nvidia to update it)
V sync on >> above 75 vsync kicks it and cap it. No tearing and everything smooth = input lag
V sync off >> uncapped above the 75 from g sync/monitor refresh rate >> tearing stutter and all those things above the "limit"

Exactly

I observed too , on my 980m with 376.33, a drop as performance side, in the end I let the one from asus website...

try disabling the g-sync.That worked for me but it is not a viable solution for me.Another thing is that you can enable fast-sync via Nvidia inspector and Gsync on on nvidia panel it might work, but i have not fully tested it yet.Let me know

For me it is simple

With a good external monitor >> g sync off
With the monitor from G752vy you need the g sync on >> then either put v sync on on nvidia control panel or fast sync. Fast sync is the awesome option but still a new technology = micro stutter some times...

Simple image that explain all possibilities

But on my laptop in World of Tanks I have to have V-Sync on with GSync otherwise I get around 50-60 FPS and bad stutter.

yeah.
Some games have problems with these combinations.
For me it was FIFA >> my "fix" >> G SYNC ON and V SYNC ON >> capped at 75...but for example rainbow six siege, overwatch, cs go and so on >> G SYNC ON + FAST SYNC ON.
With an external monitor (144hz) i play all these games with >> G SYNC OFF V SYNC OFF>> ASYS VG248QE no gsync edition.

It is always a trade off
